DMCA Copyright Policy

1. Digital Millennium Copyright Act Compliance

YardLocal respects the intellectual property rights of content creators, photographers, and marketplace hosts. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, YardLocal will respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement submitted to our designated copyright agent.

2. Submitting a Notice of Infringement

If you are a copyright owner or authorized representative and believe that any listing, photo, description, or material hosted on YardLocal infringes upon your copyrighted work, please submit a written notification containing all of the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • A clear description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
  • The exact URL or location on the YardLocal website where the alleged infringing material is located.
  • Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

3. Counter-Notification Procedures

If a host or seller believes that their removed listing or material was removed by mistake or misidentification, they may submit a counter-notification containing their contact information, a statement under penalty of perjury regarding their ownership or authorization, and consent to local jurisdiction.
